R. Blake Chisam is an extraordinary immigration attorney and litigator. He is recognized nationally for his broad knowledge about complex immigration and nationality law issues. Mr. Chisam earned his law degree from the Temple University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Auburn University. Mr. Chisam is admitted to practice in New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania and a host of federal courts. He limits his practice to Immigration and Nationality matters.
Mr. Chisam is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (“AILA”) and the American Bar Association (“ABA”). He is co-author of the 2006-2007 Edition of Immigration Practice, a more than 1,600 page practical treatise on Immigration and Nationality Law. Mr. Chisam has lectured Immigration Law students at universities throughout the nation. He frequently presents on complex immigration issues.
In October 2000, Mr. Chisam was awarded the prestigious Meritorious Public Service Award from the Director of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Executive Office for Immigration Review, which was presented by then-Attorney General Janet Reno, in recognition of his “tireless and distinguished pro bono efforts on behalf of unrepresented aliens detained by the … Immigration and Naturalization Service.” The award serves as further evidence of Chisam-Majid’s dedication to its core values of Quality, Integrity and Service, and to developing sound, high-quality, lawyer-driven immigration service delivery systems.
